EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE

Kennack Diving Offers Emergency First Response (EFR) courses, Divers Alert Network (DAN) Oxygen Administration Courses & HSE first aid at work. All these courses are ideal for divers and non divers alike.

EFR Primary Care ( Required For Rescue Diver & Above)

This course teaches students how to respond to life threatening emergencies. This course focuses in Primary care through knowledge Development, skill development and scenario practice. Skills taught in this course include - Scene safety assessment, barriers, Rescue breathing, CPR, Bleeding & Shock Management.

EFR Secondary Care

This course covers illnesses and injuries that are not immediately life threatening. Students focus on secondary assessment through Knowledge development, skill development and scenario practice. Skills on this course include -Injury & illness assessment, bandaging, as well as a reference section on topics like burns, choking, electrical injuries, insect bites, aquatic injuries and temperature related injuries.

EFR Care for Children

This course teaches people how to provide emergency care specifically for injured or ill children and infants. This can be integrated with EFR primary and secondary care for individuals wishing to be better prepared to care for people of all ages.

EFR & Emergency First Response

Both Certificate's are now accepted by The register of Exercise professionals.

DAN O2

This course is designed to train and educate the general diving public in the techniques of using Oxygen as first aid for suspected diving injuries. In addition this course will introduce novice divers to the fundamentals of recognising diving injuries, signs, symptoms and responses. During this course students will learn Oxygen provider safety, how to deploy and operate a DANO2 unit and how to prepare and select an appropriate oxygen mask. This course is open to divers of all levels of certification.
