The PADI Open Water Diver course is the most popular dive programme in the world. PADI (The Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is your ticket to a lifetime of adventure. With more than 4800 dive centres and resorts in 170 countries and territories it is no surprise that the PADI certification is accepted more than any other worldwide.
Virtually anyone who is in good health and reasonably fit can earn the PADI Open Water Diver Certification. All applicants must complete a medical form prior to this and all other PADI courses. You need to be 15 years or older to start but don't worry if you are 12 to 14 you can earn the Junior Open Water Diver Certification. Once you have completed the Open Water Diver /junior open Water Diver Course you will be able to dive to a depth of 18M (Junior Open Water divers must be accompanied by a PADI Professional or certified parent /guardian.)
The course will consist of 5 pool sessions, some basic theory and 4 sea dives. All equipment and materials and equipment are included; all you need to bring is your swimwear and a towel. This qualification meets the European StandardEN14153 - 2 Autonomous Diver
